Overview: Initially released in Japan in 1993, Secret of Mana took the world by storm with its innovative real-time battle system and gorgeously rendered world. It continues to stand out among other action RPGs for its seamless gameplay that anyone from beginner to veteran can enjoy.
One of the most memorable elements of the Mana series is the Ring Command menu system. With the single press of a button, a ring-shaped menu appears on the screen, where players can use items, change weapons, and do a variety of other actions without needing to switch screens. This Ring Command menu system for which the Mana series is so well known was first introduced in Secret of Mana and has since appeared in most games in the series.
Play as Randi and his two companions, Primm and Popoi, as they adventure all around the world. At the center of our epic story is the mystical power of Mana. Battle the empire in its quest for control of Mana. Befriend the eight elementals who wield the forces of nature itself. Numerous encounters await at every turn.

Any Update is Amazing.

This game is a bit dated, people. I remember waiting in line on release day. The fact that anyone at Square Enix spent any time on this game at all in this day in the entertainment industry is nothing short of amazing. Square didn't do this for money folks, and that's enough of a display if character for me. The entitled whiners complaining that Square didn't entirely rewrite a game that was released in 1993 just so there aren't borders would be more at home wating in a line somewhere complaining about their $9 cup of coffee. Thank you Square for not forgetting this particular piece of my childhood. I think the borders look pretty good, and I've never praised borders before.

I have this and have played it multiple times on ipad and iphone, now that it he been updated, you can see the top of the screen (which had been previously cut off by an ugly "ipad" and battery indicator).
It says that it is gamepad compatible. Does anyone know which gamepad his would be? If so I would definitely chalk it up on my to-buy list Any help is appreciated, I would like to know which gamepad to purchase.

Hoping for iCloud Game Save Sync

I believe I was using a gamepad before the update that officially brought it in this July and the game was still very playable. This is one of my favorite games growing up and it plays fantastic with a gamepad on iOS devices. I’m hoping they give this game some iPad love really soon for syncing saves between devices. If that happens it’ll be a 5 Star rating for all time on this users account.
